February 25, 2010 Meeting to Discuss Possibility of forming a Fire District

NOTICE

The Jacksonport Town Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Jacksonport Town Hall and travel to the Liberty Grove Town Hall 11161 Old Stage Rd, Sister Bay, WI to attend an open discussion exploring the possibility of forming a Fire District on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

John Lowry, Chairman Town of Liberty Grove wrote;
“We hope that this discussion will include the positive points of forming a cooperative Fire District between the 7 most northern municipalities. With the continuous raising costs of equipment and changing compliance requirements coupled with tax levy restrictions we all face the Town feels strongly about looking into having a Fire District where these costs can be shared.”

It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of the Jacksonport Town Board may be in attendance at the above-stated meeting to gather information. No action will be taken by the Board at the above-stated meeting.
