September 7, 2010 Special Town Board Meeting

TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall

Chairperson Jeanne Majeski called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Jeanne Majeski.

Present: Chairperson Jeanne Majeski, Supervisor Randy Halstead, Supervisor Tom Wilson, Clerk Eileen Phetteplace and Treasurer Carol Oram.

Agenda. Motion (Tom/Randy/Passed) to accept the agenda for the September 7, 2010 meeting as presented.

Public Comment. Phyllis Zatlin, Dan Meunier, Tom Rondeau and Nancy Townsend gave their reasons for being opposed to the zoning amendment requested by Thomas Shepherd. Jon Hollingshead said he had mixed feelings about the zoning amendment. Thomas Shepherd presented information regarding his proposal for the zoning change request.

Motion (Randy/Tom/Passed) to pass Resolution No.05-2010 “Resolution by Town Board Disapproving Petition for Zoning Amendment.” This was in regards to the decision by the Door County Resource Planning Committee regarding the Petition for Zoning Amendment - Map (Applicant: Thomas Shepherd) – Tax Parcel No. 016-00-22292741G1 & G2 [Petition to rezone two lots from SE (Small Estate) to MC (Mixed Use Commercial).]

Motion (Tom/Randy/Passed) to pass Ordinance 01-2010. This addressed the question: Shall the town board place a referendum on the November general election ballot asking “Shall the person holding the office of town clerk or town treasurer, or both; or the combined office of town clerk and town treasurer in the town of Jacksonport be appointed by the Town Board?”
Motion (Tom/Jeanne/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
