Re: Minutes of September 28 CMF Meeting at Town Hall
Present: 12 people representing 5 of 6 organizations listed in
Jacksonport area brochure
1. Meeting called to order by Joe Jarosh at 6:30 p.m.
2. Reviewed minutes of August 24 meeting
3. Bruce Hill-Community Marketing Funds Coordinator
- updated committee on community marketing funds program in county
- said most towns are updating their brochures and websites using CMF
- answered questions about the community marketing funds program
4. Andy Graf-Boettcher Communications
- explained and showed new Jacksonport logo for use in marketing
- explained how Jacksonport area brochure would be upgraded
- showed sample draft of new 2010 town brochure
- brochure expanded from 8 to 24 panels with larger fonts, more
pictures
- said that 5 of 7 civic groups have chosen to have ads in 2010
brochure
- committee members were pleased with draft of new brochure
5. Unfinished business
- Jarosh explained that over 50% of
participating businesses have
thus far responded and reminder post cards
have been sent out for
remaining businesses to meet the October 15
deadline for brochure
- Jarosh and Bruce Hill will make a presentation
to Jacksonport Town
board at October 27 meeting to update them on
committee progress
6. Next meeting will be in November (TBD)
7. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
