TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Ben Logerquist.
Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram, and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the agenda for the September 26, 2006 meeting as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting of August 22, 2006.
Treasurers Report: Carol reported that the bank balance as of August 31, 2006 was $119,693.18. Motion (George/Jeanne/ Passed) to accept the treasurer's report.
Meeting open to Public Comment: Tom Maher pointed out that permits are being abused off of Schauer Park. Keri Anderson complimented the parking lot at the Town Hall.
County Board report presented by Keri Anderson
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to apply for the Door County Soil and Water Conservation Department (SWCD) Beach Stormwater Abatement Incentives Grant for Lakeside Park in Jacksonport. The SWCD will cost share an estimated $4,500/beach and the cost to the Town of Jacksonport will be an estimated $1,500/beach.
The Jacksonport Parks Committee submitted minutes from the meeting they held on September 23, 2006.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) Board agreed they don’t want to establish a place on Town property for accepting brush or organic waste.
George will attend the meeting with personnel from the DNR on October 12th at Lost Lake.
Town of Jacksonport Budget Workday was set for October 19, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Clerk’s house and the Budget Hearing date was set for November 16, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to support the Petition for Grant of Variance - (Applicant: Gerald Schuppie) Tax Parcel No: 016-00-34292713B.
Items to be included on next months agenda:
- Resolution to exceed budget levy
- Town Roads
- Approve contract with Action Appraisers & Consultants
Invoices were submitted for approval.
Motion (Aaron/George/Passed) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
