October 23, 2007 Board Minutes
TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
Chairman George Bagnall called the meeting to order at 7:05.
Roll Call: Present = chairman George Bagnall, supervisor Jeannie Majeski and treasurer Carol Oram
Absent = supervisor Aaron LeClair and clerk Eileen Phetteplace
Approve Agenda: J Majeski moved to approve agenda and G Bagnall second, motion passed.
Treasurers Report: Bank balance as of of September 28'th was $30,061.78.
Bridge Aids have been received in the amount of $550.00.
A check in the amount of $4,735.47 for the August report has been received from
J. Majeski moved and G Bagnall second to accept the treasurers report as given. Motion passed.
Payment of Accounts: Chairman George Bagnall explained the new procedure for payment of bills. Checks will be processed by the clerk prior the monthly meeting. Payments will be reviewed by board members before the meeting, once approved the treasurer will stuff envelopes and be in charge of mailing checks.
County Board Report: No report given.
Pending Business:
A. Town Insurance: After study and review, G. Bagnall moved to stay with the present insurance, J. Majeski second, motion passed.
B. Driveway Ordinance: G. Bagnall presented a rough draft to be studied by the town board. The board also needs to look at existing driveways. G. Bagnall moved to table the driveway ordinance until the November meeting. J. Majeski second, motion passed.
C: Land Use Plan: Nothing to report at this time. J. Majeski moved to table until the November meeting. G. Bagnall second, motion passed.
New Business:
A. Survey Form: Board asked that the treasurer include in with the tax bills a small survey in regard to sidewalks in the Village of Jacksonport. C. Oram, treasurer agrees to do so.
B. Contract with Action Appraisers & Consultants: J. Majeski moved to accept the contract for Action Appraisers & Consultants for $10,950.00. G. Bagnall second, motion passed.
C. TRIP: No action taken, after conversation with several contractors chairman G. Bagnall feels that Northeast Asphalt has the best offer. Northeast Asphalt is willing to do the engineering work at no cost, no obligation. The Door County Highway Department is willing to do the engineering work at no cost if they get the job. At this time G. Bagnall is waiting for a report back from Northeast Asphalt.
D. Board Acton to Allocate Funds from One Budget Item to Another: No action taken, this item has been tabled.
Reminder: Chairman G. Bagnall reminded everyone of the November 12, 2007 meeting at the town hall for regulation of boating activities on Clark lake. A reminder also on the budget hearing to be held on November 15, 2007 at 7 pm at the town hall.
Correspondence: All correspondence was shared with board members.

3. Allocating funds for budget
Jim Parent asked to speak at the November meeting; it was advised that this matter be handled in public comments.
G. Bagnall moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 PM, J. Majeski second, motion passed.
