November 9, 2010 Town of Jacksonport Budget Hearing

TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BUDGET HEARING
Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Town Hall

The budget hearing was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Jeanne Majeski. Present: Chairman Jeanne Majeski, Supervisor Randy Halstead, Supervisor Tom Wilson, Treasurer Carol Oram and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace. The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Al Scharrig. There were six other people from the township. Jeanne pointed out that there was an error on the last page of the proposed budget. The levy for town purposes was listed as $427,220 but the actual number from line R10 should have been $323,359.00. Motion (Tom/Randy/Passed) to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:04 pm.

TOWN OF JACKSONPORT SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

The special town meeting was called to order at 7:04 pm immediately following the budget hearing.

Motion (Tom Ash/Aaron LeClair/Passed unanimously) to approve the budgeted amount of $228,379 for total highway expenditures for 2011.

Motion (Aaron LeClair/Al Scharrig/Passed unanimously) to adopt the 2010 town tax levy of $323,359.

Motion (Aaron LeClair/Tom Ash/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.

TOWN OF JACKSONPORT SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

The special board meeting was called to order at 7:07 pm, immediately following the Special Town Meeting by Chairperson Jeanne Majeski. Present: Chairperson Jeanne Majeski, Supervisor Randy Halstead, Supervisor Tom Wilson, Clerk Eileen Phetteplace and Treasurer Carol Oram.

Motion (Tom/Randy/Passed) to adopt the town budget as presented.

Motion (Tom/Randy/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:08 pm.
