November 13, 2008 Budget Hearing, Special Town Meeting, Special Board Meeting
TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BUDGET HEARING
Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Town Hall
The budget hearing was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall. Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace. There were 16 other people from the township. Motion (Alvin Scharrig/Marlene Larson/Passed) to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:08 pm.
TOWN OF JACKSONPORT SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
The special town meeting was called to order at 7:08 pm immediately following the budget hearing.
Motion (Marlene Larson/Terry Simon/Passed) to approve the budgeted amount of $280,020 for total highway expenditures for 2009.
Motion (Alvin Scharrig/Tom Ash/Passed) to adopt the 2008 town tax levy of $301,861.
Motion (Chuck Ploor/Marlene Larson/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
TOWN OF JACKSONPORT SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
The special board meeting was called to order at 7:16 pm, immediately following the Special Town Meeting by Chairman George Bagnall. Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Clerk Eileen Phetteplace and Treasurer Carol Oram. Supervisor Aaron LeClair abstained.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to adopt the town budget as presented.
Confirmation of Fire Department officers. Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to confirm Tom Ash as Chief and Adam Bley as the Assistant Chief. Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to confirm Chuck Ploor and Aaron LeClair as Captains; Tim Bley and Todd Polster as Lieutenants. The annual salaries for the positions were approved as follows: Chief $4,500, Assistant Chief $1,250, Captains (2) $1,000 each, Lieutenants (2) $750 each.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm.
