TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the Firestation
The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Chairman Al Birnschein. Present: Chairman Al Birnschein, Supervisors George Bagnall and Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram and Clerk Teri Stauber. The minutes of the previous meeting were read. The date stated of the Workshop was changed to the 8th of May. Motion (GEORGE/JEANNE/PASSED) to accept the change of the minutes as read.
Treasurer Carol Oram reported a balance of 182,736.62 as of April 30, 2003. The total of the General Transportation Aid is 21,420.93. A report of the Delinquent Personal Property list was given.
Kari Anderson sent her report by e-mail. Because of a County Board Meeting that night she was unable to attend. A Meeting for Smart Growth Planning is at Sevastopol School on June 12th at 7:00 P.M.
Motion (AL/JEANNE/PASSED) to direct the clerk to send a bill of $2,544.00 to Mr. Tom Jorns.
Motion (JEANNE/GEORGE/PASSED) to accept the bid of $42,740.00 from Northeast Asphalt, Inc for the work to be done on Memorial Drive.
Motion (GEORGE/AL/PASSED) to draft an ordinance related to dogs in the park.
Motion (GEORGE/JEANNE) to table the issue of Schauer Park until next month.
Motion (GEORGE/JEANNE) to table the issue of the Firestation improvements until the Town Board Meeting in June.
Motion (JEANNE/GEORGE/PASSED) to put two (2) of the fire trucks up for sale by bid now and hold off on the Mac Truck.
Motion (JEANNE/AL) to table the discussion of the constable wages to have time to research the issue until next month's meeting.
Motion (JEANNE/AL/PASSED) to put the cleaning job of the Town Hall/Firestation out on bids.
Motion (GEORGE/AL) to table the calendar until June.
Motion (GEORGE/AL/PASSED) to start charging for the use of the Town Hall effective July 1st, 2003, $25.00 for residence and $50.00 for non-residence. (Certificate of Insurance provided to the Town of Jacksonport).
Motion (AL/JEANNE/PASSED) to pay Deputy Clerk $15.00 an hour.
Invoices were submitted for approval. Motion (GEORGE/JEANNE/PASSED) to adjourn.
The Board of Review met after the Town Board Meeting. Motion (AL/JEANNE/PASSED) to adjourn until such time as the Assessment Roll is completed for the 2003 tax year. Motion (AL/GEORGE/PASSED) to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 10:30.
