TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Alvin Birnschein.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Ben Logerquist.
Present: Chairman Alvin Birnschein, Supervisors George Bagnall and Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram, and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (George/Alvin/Passed) to accept the agenda, for the May 24th meeting as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to accept the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting of April 26, 2005 as distributed.
Treasurers Report: Treasurer Carol Oram reported as of April 29, 2005, a balance of $228,373.89. Joel Hanson’s lost checks will be reissued less the $15/each service charge to stop payment. Motion (George/Alvin/Passed) to accept the treasurer's report.
Meeting open to Public Comment: June Kabelitz complemented the new sign donated by the Jacksonport Advancement Society.
County Board report by Keri Anderson:
Door County did pass the “Outdoor and refuse burning and fireworks ordinance for the County of Door, WI.”
The RPC did grant the conditional use permit for the Richard LeClair property.
Lakeview Cemetery Committee: will report at the June Town Board meeting.
Board of Review is scheduled for June 4, 2005.
Road Update:
Alvin will write-up bid requests for proposed road work.
Motion (Alvin/Jeanne/Passed) to have two recycling Saturdays in April rather than one.
Motion (Alvin/George/Passed) to approve liquor licenses for Bley’s Bar (Ruth Anschutz), Bley’s Grocery (Wayne Bley), Mike’s Port Pub (Michael Lautenbach), Mr. G’s (Bob Geitner), Simon Creek Vineyards, LLC (Thomas Lawrie), Square Rigger Galley (Jeffery Roop), Sweet Lou’s [after delinquent personal property taxes are paid] (Lynn Bakken) for the period ending June 30, 2006.
Jacksonport is not getting involved with the Town of Sevastopol with regards to a Fire Department.

Invoices were submitted for approval.
Motion (Jeanne/Alvin/Passed) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:42 P.M.
