TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Alvin Scharrig.
Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the agenda for the March 25, 2008 meeting as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Town Board meeting of February 26, 2008 as presented.
Treasurer Report: Checking account bank balance as of February 29, 2008 was $7,291.04. The money market savings account balance as of February 29, 2008 was $250,964.73. Delinquent personal property taxes equal $474.90. -Treasurer, Carol Oram Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept and approve payment of the invoices which had been submitted to the Town.
Public Comment. Joseph Gagnon said that the storm drains need work - worse near the Town Hall Bakery. He also thinks that the N Cave Pt Drive road shoulders may collapse due to rain and runoff.
Joe Jarosh reported that the Jacksonport Area Business Association had 20,000 copies of the business brochure printed. 70% of the Jacksonport businesses are represented in the brochure.
County Board report presented by Kari Anderson
Jeanne will complete the application and submit it to the WDOT for an electric powered beacon on State Highway 57 across from the Lasee family farm.
Bob Bultman gave a presentation on invasive species.
Adam Drossart talked about his plans to petition for a change in zoning for the land which use to be the former Olson quarry.
Town roads were discussed and it was decided that George would publish a bid request for summer 2008 road work.
The park and cemetery mowing work will be done by the same contractors as 2007.
Correspondence was made available to the Town Board members.

- Transfer funds from contingency fund to snow control
- Sidewalk/walkways survey
Motion (Jeanne/George/passed) Aaron absent to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
