JACKSONPORT TOWN BOARD

A special meeting of the Jacksonport Town Board was called to order at 8:45 p.m. by Chairman Al Birnschein to review sample ordinance titled “Town of Jacksonport Building and Mechanical Code.” Present was Chairman Al Birnschein, Supervisors Jeanne Majeski and George Bagnall, Deputy Clerk Marlene Larson and Brett Guilette, Independent Inspections, Ltd., who assisted with the review.
The following changes were suggested:
Section 1-1-04 Scope: Delete “swimming pools,” add “150 sq. ft or more” after residential accessory buildings and delete “agricultural buildings.”
Section 1-1-05: Permit Required
Part a. Remove “agricultural buildings”
Part d. Completely remove
Section 1-1-14: Unsafe Buildings (completely remove)
Section 1-1-16 Moving Buildings (completely remove the entire section)
FEE SCHEDULE
A, 3. Accessory Structure:
- .10 per sq. ft all areas over 600 sq. ft.
- $40.00 – 150-600 sq. ft.
C. Agricultural Buildings (unheated): Completely remove
D. Miscellaneous - Remove number 1 and number 3.
Brett will get sample ordinance reprinted and send to the clerk.
Items Brett will need for “office:” filing cabinet, access to copy machine, no fax needed. Probably will be available by appointment.
