July 7, 2009 Special Town Board Minutes
SPECIAL TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
Acting Chair Jeanne Majeski called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Ben Logerquist.
Present: Acting Chair Jeanne Majeski, Supervisor Randall Halstead,
Clerk Eileen Phetteplace and Treasurer Carol Oram.
Motion (Randall/Jeanne/Passed) to change the distance to .65 mile for
the road work to be completed on Jorns Road.
The five people that submitted letters of interest for the Town Chair
position were in attendance at the meeting. The people were current
Town Supervisors Randall Halstead and Jeanne Majeski. Michael Serpe,
James Sarosiek and Ron Schultz were also indicated they would be
willing to accept the appointment as Town Chairperson.
Jeanne Majeski stated that she was withdrawing her name as a possible
chair person.
All were given an opportunity to answer similar questions. Motion
(Jeanne/Eileen/Passed, all in favor) to appoint James Sarosiek to the
position of Town Chairman to fill the existing term. James filed the
official oath of office.
Motion (Randall/Jeanne/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at
approximately 7:30 p.m.
