TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Alvin Scharrig.
Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace. Absent: Supervisor Aaron LeClair
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to accept the agenda for the January 22, 2008 meeting as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Town Board meeting of December 18, 2007 as presented.
Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Town Board meeting of December 27, 2007 as presented.
Treasurer Report: End of year balance in the checking account was $32,757.43
The total interest earned in 2007 was $12,144.74. Remaining tax collection hours are: Saturday, January 26 at 10:00 am until noon and Wednesday January 30 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm. Plus a reminder, to license your dogs; $3.00 if spayed or neutered $8.00 if not. Also need to provide the rabies certificate. The first installment for tax bills is due by February 5, 2008. Money collected from property taxes is deposited into the new saving account for a better rate of interest. When payments are due to the schools, state and county the money is transferred from the saving to the checking and payment is issued.-Treasurer, Carol Oram

County Board report presented by Kari Anderson
Driveway Ordinance. Motion (Jeanne/George/passed) to pass Ordinance 01-2008.
Clark Lake slow no-wake Ordinance. Motion (Jeanne/George/passed) to pass Ordinance 03-2007.
Signage on State Highway 57. Tabled until the February meeting.
Franchise fees for cable companies. Tabled until the next Town Board meeting, Clerk to type a resolution).
Snowmobile Ordinances. Motion (Jeanne/George/passed) to pass Ordinance 02-2008
Town Board set the date of January 29, 2008, 6:30 p.m. to audit the Town books.
Town Board members agreed to attend the 2008 W.T.A. District meeting on March 14, 2008, Clerk to register George, Jeanne and Eileen.
Motion (Jeanne/George/passed) to pass Budget Resolution 1-2008, to allocate funds from one budget item to another.
Agenda items for the next month:

Invoices were submitted for approval.
