TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Ben Logerquist.
Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram, and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the agenda, for the February 28, 2006 meeting as presented.
Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting of January 24, 2006 as distributed.
Treasurers Report: Treasurer Carol Oram reported as of January 31, 2006, a balance of $997,697.63. The taxes collected by February 8, 2006 were as follows:
Real Estate = $1,849,914.53
Personal Property = $6,663.74
Forest Crop (MFL/FCL) = $3,757.65
Total = $1,860,335.92.
The Town also received $21,855.22 from the State of Wisconsin (General Transportation Aid) Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the treasurer's report.
Meeting open to Public Comment: Mary Herlache made the suggestion that the Lakeview Cemetery committee consider placing a memorial board with a place for names, for families that do not have a marker in the cemetery. She volunteered to research the possibility.
Keri Anderson reported that there is a tree, “almost in the road” on Junction Road.

Brilliant Cities franchise – Motion (George/Aaron/Passed) to have Brilliant Cities collect a 3% fee for the Town on charges for their services. Jeanne will contact Jamie Forest regarding the changes to the language in the franchise agreement
Copy machine – Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to purchase a Ricoh 1515 with annual service agreement. Jeanne will place the order.
Town web site – Jeanne will give Dustin Overbeck, a list of the website’s the Town would like linked to our website.
Shelters in Lakeside Park and ball field – Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) – table until the March meeting.
Motion (Aaron/George/Passed) to collect fees for the use of the Town ball field. The fees will be as follows:
User fee of $150 per year per team
Sevastopol School, $75 per home game.
A letter from the Town Board will be sent to the effected teams, informing them of the new fees.
Motion (Aaron/George/Passed) to advertise for a part-time maintenance and cleaning person. Resumes should be sent to Aaron LeClair.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to pass Ordinance No. 1-06, An Ordinance to appoint alternate members for Board of Review.
Reminder that the Jacksonport Annual meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
The Town Board members agreed to try to attend the Door County’s Comprehensive Plan meeting scheduled for March 23, 2006. The Clerk will post the meeting.

Invoices were submitted for approval.
Motion (Aaron/George/Passed) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
