TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Alvin Scharrig.
Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the agenda for the February 26, 2008 meeting as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Town Board meeting of January 22, 2008 as presented.
Treasurer Report: Bank balance as of January 31, 2008 was $27,652.82 with 2 outstanding checks from 2007 in the amount of $64.06 giving a final balance of $27,561.76. We have received our GTA in the amount of $22,958.55. The total taxes due for real estate and personal property was $2,771,358.55. The total collected as of February 6, 2008 was $1,992,828.12. -Treasurer, Carol Oram Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.
Public Comment. Lisa Bieri presented the Town Board with copies of a brochure, titled “Sevastopol School District Referendum Facts 2008.” She stated that it contained the correct facts in it and asked that everyone read it. On personal level, she requests that people please vote yes.
Joe Majeski also asked for the Town of Jacksonport residents to support the referendum.
County Board report presented by Kari Anderson
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to proceed with the permitting process with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) for an electric powered beacon on State Highway 57 across from the Lasee family farm. Jeanne will proceed with the request with the WDOT.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to proceed with the request for an amendment related to Item 5, Goal #2 of the Town Land Use Plan. George will work with David Sautebin of the Door County Planning Department to continue working for the following amendment:
Create within Section 4.08(8) ( c ) 1.a. – paragraph 3
Town of Jacksonport special development requirements.
Multiple occupancy developments in the mc zoning district shall not exceed 12 bedrooms per acre of net lot area. Fractional results shall be rounded down to the nearest whole number.
Create within Section 4.08(9)(e)1. – paragraph 2 to read:
Town of Jacksonport special development requirements.
In the mc zoning district no multiple occupancy development building, including associated accessory buildings, shall exceed an average height of 28 feet above finished grade elevation or an average of 30 feet in height above preconstruction grade elevation, whichever is lower.
Create within Section 4.08(8)(d)1. – paragraph 2 to read:
Town of Jacksonport special development requirements.
The maximum impervious surface ratio for multiple occupancy developments within the mc zoning district in the Town of Jacksonport shall be 40%.
TRIP Award - $18,500 was awarded to the Town of Jacksonport for construction of one mile of road on N. Cave Pt Drive, starting at house number 5898 toward the south.
The sidewalk/walkway survey results have been compiled. The Town Board members will read the comments individually.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to support the Petition for Zoning Amendment - Text (Applicant: Resource Planning Committee) – Eliminate Site Plan Review Procedures 2.04 et al.
Correspondence – the Jacksonport Advancement Corporation has donated two additional tables to the Town Hall.

Invoices were submitted for approval.
