TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairman Alvin Birnschein. Present: Chairman Alvin Birnschein, Supervisors George Bagnall and Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram, and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to accept the agenda, for the February 22nd meeting as presented.
Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting of January 25, 2005 and the Fire Commission meeting of January 25, 2005 as distributed.
Treasurers Report: Treasurer Carol Oram reported as of January 31, 2005, a balance of $827,675.29. Outstanding checks equal $813.10. The Town received $21,420.93, General Transportation aids. Total collection for the taxes as of the end of January was $1,833,231.07. Forest Crop, $199.20, Managed Forest Land MFL (open), $539.33, MFL (closed), $2,784.48. Dog Licenses, $313.00. Motion (George/Alvin/Passed) to accept the treasurer's report.
Meeting open to Public Comment: No comments.
County Board report by Keri Anderson. The April 5 election ballot will include a series of questions for a County Referendum regarding the downtown bridge.
Lakeview Cemetery Committee formed – members will include Marlene Larson, Keri Anderson and Robert Kufrin. Town Board assigned tasks to this committee. Please update at the next monthly Town Board Meeting.
Egg Harbor signed the Road Agreement between Egg Harbor and Jacksonport. Chairman Alvin Birnschein and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace signed the agreement. The Clerk will return a signed copy to the Egg Harbor Clerk.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to Table the discussion of Fire Department wages and salaries until the March Town Board Meeting.
Motion (George/Alvin/Passed) to support the study plan entitled “Water Quality and Biotic Evaluation and Strategic Planning in the Clark Lake Watershed, Door County, Wisconsin. The Town will show its support by sending a letter of support to Mary Gansberg of the WIS DNR.
Motion (Alvin/George/Passed) to support the application for Conditional Use Permit – Applicant: Polster Ventures, LLC.
Correspondence – Clerk to register Jeanne, George and Alvin to attend the Road Maintenance Course to be held March 23, 2005. Clerk to Post proper Notice.

Invoices were submitted for approval.
