TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Bagnall.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Alvin Scharrig.
Present: Chairman George Bagnall, Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, and Treasurer Carol Oram. Absent: Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the agenda for the December 18, 2007 meeting as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Town Board meeting of November 27, 2007 with the following changes. In the Pledge of Allegiance sentence remove the name Ben to read Alvin Scharrig only.
Also in treasurers report change sentence number six to read, Normally January 31, instead of January 1.
Treasurer Carol Oram reported as of November 30, 2007 the bank balance is $44,253.08. A check has been received from the State of Wisconsin, general operations in the amount of $12,500.00 for the trip program. Wisconsin Department of Revenue has deposited a check in the amount of $12,053.42 for the November revenues. All tax bills have been mailed. Tax collection hours are December 22, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, December 28 from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. January 26, 10:00 a.m. until noon and January 30, 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at the town hall.
Public Comment. Aaron LeClair announced that the fire department has received a grant in the amount of $31,777.00.
County Board member Kari Anderson reported on discussion and action by the County Board meeting held in December. The next County Board meeting will be held on January 29, 2008 at the Egg Harbor Town Hall.
Driveway Ordinance. Motion (George/Aaron/passed) to table until next months meeting.
Clark Lake slow no-wake Ordinance. Motion (Aaron/George/passed) to table until next months meeting.
Signage on State Highway 57. Will be discussed at a later date after talking with John Lasee.
Franchise fees for cable companies. Moved to next month, more information needs to be collected.
Jacksonport Area Business Association (JABA). Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/passed) to donate to the Jacksonport Area Business Association $2,000.00 from the Room Tax dollars.
JABA is asking for the dollars to help support their brochures.
Fire Department Brush Truck unit. Motion (Aaron/George/passed) the fire department to purchase a brush unit.
This unit will be placed on the old truck and then transferred to a new truck when purchased at a later time.
Snowmobile Ordinances – update. Motion (George/Aaron/passed) to table until the January meeting.

Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
