December 16, 2008 Board Minutes
TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall
Supervisor Aaron LeClair called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Alvin Scharrig.
Present: Supervisor Aaron LeClair, Supervisor Jeanne Majeski, Clerk
Eileen Phetteplace and Treasurer Carol Oram. Chairman George Bagnall
was absent.
Agenda. Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept the agenda for the
December 16, 2008 meeting as presented.
Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Town Board
meeting of December 2, 2008 as presented.
Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the minutes of the Public
Hearing meeting of December 2, 2008 as presented.
Treasurer Report: Tax collection hours at the Town Hall will be held
December 27, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until noon, December 30, 2008 from
6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Additional hours will be January 24, 2009
from 10:00 a.m. until noon and January 29, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. The Town checking account has been switched to Baylake
Bank’s Automated Investment Sweep Service. “The “sweep” transfers
excess collected funds on a daily basis to a money market mutual fund
or repurchase investment account. The exact total of checks and other
disbursements is swept back to the town’s checking account as
necessary.” -Treasurer, Carol Oram Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to
accept the treasurer’s report as presented.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to accept and approve payment of the
invoices which had been submitted to the Town.
Public Comment. No comments.
No County Board report. Nancy Bemmann was not present.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to pass Ordinance No. 03-2008 Protect the
Ecology of Logan Creek and the North End of Clark Lake. Clerk will
have it published in the Door County Advocate.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to pass Budget Resolution No. 8-2008 to
allocate funds from one budget item to another.
Fire Commission tabled until a later meeting.
Motion (Jeanne/Aaron/Passed) to give support and approval to the
Jacksonport Women’s Club to pursue securing permission from Wisconsin
Public Service to display American Flags from WPS power poles in the
Town of Jacksonport.
Reminder – 2009 Municipal Candidates – for Nonpartisan Office (Forms
EB-1, EB-162, EB-169 [recommend 30 signatures minimum]) to be filed
with the town clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6,
2009.
Copies of the Door County Highway Department Mailbox Policy, dated
effective September 1, 1999 were made available for people in
attendance. Extra copies were left in the town hall.
The ice rink in town is good to go.
Correspondence was made available to the Town Board members.

Motion (Aaron/Jeanne/Passed) to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at
approximately 7:35 p.m.
