TOWN OF JACKSONPORT BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Alvin Birnschein.
Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Ben Logerquist.
Present: Chairman Alvin Birnschein, Supervisors George Bagnall and Jeanne Majeski, Treasurer Carol Oram, and Clerk Eileen Phetteplace.
Agenda. Motion (Alvin/George/Passed) to accept the agenda, for the April 26th meeting as presented.
Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting of March 22, 2005 as distributed.
Treasurers Report: Treasurer Carol Oram reported as of March 31, 2005, a balance of $228,373.61, with outstanding checks equaling $110.82. Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) to accept the treasurer's report.
Meeting open to Public Comment: No public comment.
County Board report by Keri Anderson.
Poll Worker wages: Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to leave the poll workers wages at $10 per hr and increase the Chief Inspector wage to $10.50 per hour starting with the next election.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to Table discussion of Pay Scale for Employees until a later date.
Lakeview Cemetery Committee: will report at the May Town Board meeting.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) in lieu of the having a Town Constable, authorize hiring Mark Richards as a Town Employee to be a dog/cat catcher.
Motion (George/Alvin/Passed) to approve liquor licenses for Don Jervis, doing business as Town Hall Bakery. (A Class “B” license to sell fermented malt beverages for the six month period ending November 13, 2005 and a “Class C” wine license for the period ending June 30, 2006).
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to give the Town Clerk permission to issue picnic, cigarette, soda and operator licenses as needed.
Motion (Jeanne/George/Passed) to approve the use of the Town Hall for a staging area for the Red Cross, and to approve that a key for the Town Hall would be available at Bley’s Grocery for the use of Red Cross personnel only.
Application for Conditional Use Permit – Richard LeClair: Motion (George/Jeanne/Passed) to go along with/approve the additional duplex. Clerk will so advise the Door County Planning Department.
Petition for Zoning Amendment - Text – Applicant: Resource Planning Committee): Motion (Alvin/Jeanne/Passed) to approve the petition. Clerk will so advise the Door County Planning Department.
Town Road Review discussed. See attached Town Road Review Summary 2005

Invoices were submitted for approval.
Motion (George/Alvin/Passed) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
